March/april

Ah well another negative month another month i should have lost money.  I'm starting to wonder how possible it is to be positve on the ultra turbos.   For me anyways 109 ut6mans are not positve and a large number of the 55 71s are also negative.  However knowing this i made 9k+ this month due to the race cards promo.   Obviously the biggest thing to improve my game other then playing better and makeing less negative push/calls is game selection. 

Seems like every reg you see that has a blog or you talk to says they are going to game select more and more obvoiusly that is what im planning to do.  

For last month i played  over 2700 sngs losing 2355 on the month(had a good session after 9 to start out race cards on the last day of last month) for +6259.70 +another 3k/250/and 600ish in rakeback that i will receive here at the start of next month.

I played 177 hours which for me is way way more then i have possibly ever in one month.  God im lazy......   Averaged just over 40 hours per week every day this month which is nice getting me back on track for 30 hours a week for the year.  It also showed me how its really not all that hard to put an 8 hour day in in poker.   That translates into about 52 dollars an hour so very happy about that but could be far better if i could learn to play poker at some point.

Next month I will obviously take it easy get back into golf which i suck at but is very relaxing.  I'm not overly sure what i want to do poker wise Grinding SNGs like this is very very profitable but the peace of mind of actually showing profits would be very very nice.  I may get back into some cash games it was fun and nice for a change.  As for goals my only real goal will be 30k fame points other then that dunno game select may play a mix of 3-5 full ring 50-100s and 3 or so 6max cash tables or may just play 2500 6max UT and try to bang my head against the wall some more.

Variance at 30-100 level

so all month i have been playing 30-100 buy ins and playing A FUCKING LOT because of the race cards event.  Ive been using holdem manager  which has the new ev calculations which is very nice to get a grasp on how im playing.

I am supposed to be down like 1500 which i cant decide if this is overly bad or not this month due to large amounts of regs im being forced to play against.  For the most part i have been playing 6max and have been trying to keep the games down to 2 regs +me which obviuosly is going to be break even or losing with just that.  However i find i get way to many games going with 5-6 regs also which those are negative for all.   Usually this happens because  i sit with maybe one reg maybe 2 and instead of random people 4 regs join with me lol so retarded.

Well according to HM I have played 138+ hours alreayd which is so fucking much.  It has been an eye opener however on how lazy i am when it comes to playing and how easy it really is to get 7-9 hours of poker in a day if you try.  I am ahead of my 30 hours a week pace now which is also nice.

As for sngs i have played 2080 already which is fantastic I was going to try for 2k to 2.5k so i should be near the 2.5k which is also great.

Now for the variance part :) -2000 which is killing me I should still make 5k-10k on the month due to volume should be a decent $ per hour after its all said and done.

Its really hard to tell how much of this is bad play varaince and just playing vs to many good players in general.  Hm says i should only be down 1500 .  But its hard to tell how well the all in ev calculators really work.

for the year now im down 9k and according to the all in ev i should be down 2.8k...  Obviously this sucks i havent had back to back losing months ever and to supposed to have had 3 of them is rediculous however im also playing far higher limits these days.....

After this race cards ends im going to most likely reevaluate things debating on stopping playing 6maxUT for the most part just because im obviously losing and at best break even on them.  I'm leaning towards a mix of maybe 3 full ring 50-100s and 3 6max cash at  a time as i ahve been mostly 6-8 tabling lately.  However if they add a new status level on AP i will mostlikely continue grinding 6max ut's for that and lost 2k every month to make 3-5k lol.  If i do continue playign ultra turbo 6max im going to do massive game selecting and try to play with no more then one reg..   Most of the other players if the arent a regular sng grinder are a cash grinder or at very least aggressive and running like god.

feb/start of march

Well i finished down for the 2nd month in a row that hasnt happened often.

However i lost only 1100ish this month so it wasnt a total loss as i played over 1500 sngs and cleared about 5k in rakeback/bonus.

all in all i lost

-1315.5 on sngs ( holdem manager said i shoulda made 843)

So i still didnt do overly well or play overly great and 2kish swing isnt bad at all so wasnt horrid.

I'm still looking over my play for the most part just looking at the mental things trying to figure out why i do stupid thing that i know are bad and trying to remove these things still.   It is fairly stupid that i have been playing poker for so long and have developed these types of things.  I have to remove them if i want to make more money and move into the 100 ultra turbos consistantly.

On the month i played 1564 sngs not as many as i would have liked but def not bad volume.  Ended up running reallly hot tonight so cleared about 4090 profits so deff a decent  month.

As for next month racecards have started again so im going to get more volume in.  My goal is 30k fame points and 2k+ games   should be easily doable but i always get lazy so we shall see.
